Term 1 2020

Rauawaawa Kaumatua Trust work experience by Chance

Rule of 5 Class Treaty by Leanne

Early in the year, we worked on the Rule of 5 Treaty for the Transition Unit. We came up with lots of different ideas to show in a Rule of 5 poster. When we decided which ideas to use and what the poster should look like, we were each given something to do. Some students painted the background for the poster, whilst others cut out little people shapes and photos of our faces. Then we all had a turn on the computer to type our ideas of what was not good or bad behaviour according to our Rule of 5. After we finished, both Transition 1 and 2 classes took turns to tell and show how their posters were made. We all had lots of fun making the Treaty poster for 2020. To complete our work, we all went up one by one to sign the Rule of 5 Treaty. This was to show all students and staff agreed to follow the Transition Unit Rule of 5 during of 2020.
